Description Description PhD position (3 years, TV-L E13, 50%) at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, University of Bonn, in the group of Prof. Nikolay Kornienko (electrocatalysis, electrosynthesis, operando spectroscopy). In a new DFG project, you will study lithium-mediated nitrogen reduction to ammonia in a palladium membrane reactor that delivers hydrogen from water directly to the Li/LiNx interface. You will link operating conditions to SEI formation and NH3 yield, trace hydrogen pathways by H/D labelling with in-line MS and IR, and probe the interface by operando XRD plus XPS and SEM. Requirements: • MSc in chemistry, materials science or a related field • experience in electrochemistry or glovebox work is a plus • good English and German
