Description:
We are pleased to share that we are recruiting three PhD students to join our new ERC-funded project PROSODY-SENSES, coordinated by Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) in collaboration with several international partner universities, starting in January 2027.
The project investigates prosody across languages and communicative modalities, including spoken, signed, and tactile sign languages, with a particular focus on multimodal communication. The current PhD positions will focus on the implementation of prosody in Catalan spoken language, as well as on Portuguese spoken and sign languages.
Soon we will be recruiting a total of seven PhD researchers and two postdoctoral researchers, including the PhD positions currently advertised and four additional positions focusing on Catalan Sign Language, Catalan Tactile Sign Language, as well as spoken languages such as Medʉmba and Cantonese.
